Welcome to the Bonga Castle and the inspiring gallery of the professor, artist Riitta Nelimarkka in the city of Loviisa, Finland, (1 hour drive east of Helsinki)
Riitta Nelimarkka is a distinctive and versatile artist whose repertoire includes textile art, graphic art, animated films, paintings, artist books, photography and extensive exhibition entities. She is an international artist exhibited all around the globe from Los Angeles to Moscow.
Bonga Castle is a 2000 m2 patrician castle from 1906 and has been renovated to the original 1920 classical style. The gallery takes up 1/3 of the castle and shows the most essential part of the artist production. The spacious gallery is filled with light and vibrating colours.
The Gallery tour: Takes app. 45 minutes. Rate 8 €/person, min admission 160 €/group.
The Gallery and Studio tour: The tour gives a unique possibility to see the artist studio and works in progress.
The visit takes 60 min. Rate 10 eur/person. min admission 200 eur/group (max 55 pax).
The tour around the castle includes guiding and possibility to purchase items in the gallery shop. Soft drinks available. Cakes upon request. The Bonga Castle is open upon reservation around the year.

Bonga Castle is open by appointment for groups all year round as well as the charming Rose, during the event Saturday 9.7. at 12-16, Sun 10.7. at 12-15, Loviisa Sibelius Festival and Wanhat Talot, the tradition of the construction fair in the Castle Gallery is open Fri 26.8. at 16-19, Sat 27.8. at 12-18, Sun 28.8. at 12-15.
